The driver of a stalled car was killed when a semi-truck driver struck the car just after 1 a.m. Monday on southbound Interstate 5 near Gravelly Lake Drive Southwest in Lakewood.

The driver of the car was stopped in the road when the crash occurred.

Two lanes were blocked for more than four hours during the crash investigation.

Washington State Patrol says it doesn’t appear that the semi driver was impaired at the time of the accident. The driver is cooperating with investigators. It is not clear if the semi driver will face any charges.

No information has been released on the identity of the deceased driver.

All lanes of I-5 were reopened around 5:30 a.m.
