Package thieves rob mail carrier at gunpoint

Police arrested three men in Lynnwood on Monday afternoon for robbing a postal carrier at gunpoint.

The suspects took off in a white passenger vehicle stolen out of Kent. A deputy caught up with the robbers in the getaway car in the Lake Forest Park area where they initiated a short pursuit. The men began throwing packages out the car window.

The deputy temporarily lost track of the car, but later spotted it parked unoccupied. A K-9 unit tracked the three men hiding behind a house in the 18500 block of 25th Ave NE in Shoreline.

The three men were taken into custody without incident.
