A pedestrian reportedly carjacked a semi-truck in Thurston County Friday, and later crashed the vehicle on I-5, according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP).

Southbound Martin Way was blocked at 2 p.m. today after a pedestrian carjacked a semi-truck, according to KIRO 7.

According to WSP Trooper Robert Reyer, the suspect hit several other vehicles before rolling it on the Interstate.

Just before 4 p.m., troopers used a tool to rip the windshield off the truck, exposing the cab, according to KIRO 7. After they launched what appeared to be tear gas, the suspect jumped from the cab, where he appeared to be tased and detained.

There are no reported injuries at this time.

This is a developing story.
