Pedestrian killed in Federal Way collision

Sep 26, 2014, 8:37 AM | Updated: 12:39 pm

Rain-soaked streets and darkness may have played a role in an accident in Federal Way where a woman was struck by a car while crossing the street.

“Unfortunately she died from her injuries at the scene,” says Federal Way Police spokesperson Cathy Schrock.

The accident occurred at 21st Ave SW between S 320th and 325th, around 7:40 a.m. Friday.

There was no marked crosswalk on that section of road.

Police say the driver is giving investigators his full cooperation and it does not appear there was any wrong-doing on the driver’s part.
