A couple of Seattle women were lucky to escape an attempted carjacking Tuesday evening, where the suspects’ weapon of choice was pepper spray.
Just after sunset the two women, in their 50’s, were stopped at a light on South Martin Luther King Jr. Way and Graham St. Two young men came up to their car and hit both of the ladies with pepper spray in an attempted carjacking.
The driver stepped on the gas and sped through the red light to escape. They pulled over at a nearby convenience store to call police.
Both women were treated by medics for the pepper-spray exposure. The carjacking suspects are still at large. Seattle Police are hoping someone might have seen what happened and be able to help them track down the suspects.
