Person dies Friday after falling off dock in Seattle

A person died after falling off a dock in Seattle Friday morning.

The Seattle Fire Department (SFD) first reported the incident just before 8:30 a.m. Friday. It happened on the 4700 block of Shilshole Avenue N.W.

SFD crews rushed to the scene, lifted the victim from the water, and back onto the dock.

Firefighters and paramedics attempted lifesaving efforts but were unsuccessful,” SFD stated in a series of posts on X. “The patient was declared deceased at the scene.”

The Seattle Police Department (SPD) is taking over the investigation of this fatal incident.
