King County Sheriff's Sergeant Cindi West says authorities have arrested Emanuel Kozma after trying to track him down for the past five days.

The manhunt for a convicted felon who escaped police in Southwest Seattle last week came to an end Monday night.

King County Sheriff’s Sergeant Cindi West says authorities have arrested Emanuel Kozma after trying to track him down for the past five days.

West says authorities knew some places that he frequented and they’ve been looking for him in those places. Kozma was finally apprehended in the parking lot of a Denny’s in SeaTac.

“They had some undercover detectives in plain clothes that were able to get close enough to him and grab him before he had the opportunity to run,” says West.

Kozma led deputies on a car chase into White Center last week after being released from a holding cell earlier in the day.

Kozma has been booked into King County Jail for investigation of eluding, assault, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
