Police recover stolen Marcus Trufant memorabilia inside Renton barn

Three people were taken into custody after Seattle police served a search warrant at a barn in unincorporated Renton Wednesday and discovered stolen property tied to a series of moving-truck thefts that began on New Year’s Eve 2012.
Among the property recovered was NFL memorabilia from a U-Haul truck stolen in Renton on May 18.
The merchandise included footballs, trading cards and bowling gear signed by former Seattle Seahawk Marcus Trufant. The truck was stolen following a charity auction put on by the Trufant Family Foundation to help disadvantaged kids, according to Renton police.
The truck was recovered the following morning near Maple Valley, but the memorabilia was no longer inside.
Detectives also found furniture, household items and electronics inside the building in the 1900 block of 196th Ave. SE. A 43-year-old man and two other individuals were taken into custody at the location, according to Seattle Police Det. Renee Witt.
Witt said the location housed property stolen outside an apartment at 9th Avenue and Dexter, a residence at 6th Avenue and Olive Way and from a hotel parking lot in Vancouver, Wash.
