Police respond to shooting at Kent Station, suspect at large

One person was transported to Harborview Medical Center after a shooting at Kent Station on Monday.

Kent police responded to the shooting, near the Hairmasters at 208 W. Kent Station St., around 1 p.m.
Officials said one person was shot in the elbow and the abdomen and was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
KIRO 7’s Deborah Horne confirmed with Kent Police that the victim was an 18-year-old male.
Kent police shut down James Street from 4th Avenue to Central Avenue as they continued to investigate.
At 2:30 p.m. the street was opened back up to traffic, but police are still searching for a suspect.
