Possible human skull discovered in crab pot

Feb 21, 2014, 2:07 PM | Updated: 2:14 pm

Police in Westport say a fisherman found what is believed to be part of a human skull in a crab pot.

KXRO reports the crab fisherman pulled up the pot Friday morning about two miles off the coast and found the piece of skull. He told police he set the pot last week at about 90-100 feet.

The sheriff’s office said it’s not clear how the remains got into the crab pot.

KXRO says the sheriff’s office met the fisherman at the docks and took the skull into evidence. A lab in King County will confirm if it is human remains.
