2017 Seattle Pride Parade

As temperatures began to rise, hundreds of men, women and children carrying rainbow flags hit the streets in the 43th annual Seattle Pride Parade on Sunday.

Seattle Mayor Ed Murray said on Twitter that the city is celebrating unity and a strong community.

A few protesters carrying signs with bible verses and “you are a great sinner” disrupted the pre-parade celebration but police kept things moving.

Once the parade got going, people danced, sang and cheered as marching bands and other groups moved slowing down the parade route.

The Seattle Pride Parade runs along Fourth Avenue in downtown Seattle, beginning at Union Street and running north to Denny Way.

Abbey Roads – A local big name after a PNW tour of Bob the Drag Queen and Peaches Christ’s “legally Black show.”

The Lady B – A Seattle performer with a focus on community outreach to local marginalized people.

Dontella Howe – She just finished her reign as Olympia XLV for the Imperial Sovereign Court of Seattle.

From the Fourth Ave. and Bell St. Stage:

TylahMayJackson – A Seattle resident known for her work fundraising for queer youth through organizations such as Misfits Nightclub and Lambert House.

Violet Deville – A local burlesque performer in Seattle since 2010, Deville has toured each coast of the country.

Diva le Deviant – A burlesque performer with Seattle’s Sinner Saint Burlesque, a local burlesque troupe which has toured nationally and internationally.

From the L Stage:

Tricky D and D Dynasty of Dapper Down Productions – Tricky D is also the first drag king magician, as well as the founder of Dapper Down. Dapper Down believes that community support and elevation of local non-profits aiding the community is an important cause and they organize fundraising events to provide aid to non-profits they work with.
