The Federal Aviation Administration encourages airports to test their emergency response systems with local agencies every three years to assess training needs for real airport emergencies and improve efforts between airport workers and local emergency responders.
Two mock-up airplane fuselages placed on the airfield will serve as the crash sites.
People listening to scanners may hear radio traffic from the drill and should not be alarmed.
Taxiway A3 will be closed from 6 a.m. on Tuesday until after the exercise is over and the equipment has been removed on Thursday.
