It was a tense hour in Puyallup on Monday morning when police converged on a mental health care facility where someone reported an active shooter inside the building.

Police searched the Multicare Behavioral Health building on Pioneer and didn’t find anyone armed.

The Tacoma News Tribune reports originally reported there is an “active shooter incident” in the 300 block of East Pioneer.

Police say no shots were fired and nobody was injured. Officers began searching the area around the building.

The Puyallup School District locked down several schools and the district office due to the incident.
