Hope Solo’s husband, Jerramy Stevens, has been formally charged with a DUI, according to TMZ.
Stevens, a former Husky and Seahawk, was busted in January for allegedly driving drunk behind the wheel of a Team USA soccer van in Los Angeles.
A source reportedly told TMZ both were “a major pain” and police came close to arresting Solo for disorderly conduct, but police say she wasn’t arrested or detained.
This wouldn’t be Stevens’ first DUI. He was convicted of DUI in 2007 in Arizona while playing for the Seahawks and given a 30-day jail sentence. The NFL also suspended him for one game. The team did not re-sign him following the season.
Solo, a goalkeeper for U.S. Soccer, was suspended from the team two days after Stevens was arrested. U.S. Soccer did not specifically reference the incident but said the 30-day suspension stemmed from what U.S. Soccer would only describe as “an incident that happened during a WNT training camp being held in Carson, California.”
If convicted for DUI, Stevens faces jail time.
