Road rage, along with impairment, are contributing factors in a fatal collision on I-5 in Seattle Wednesday night, according to the Washington State Patrol.

One woman was killed and five people were injured in three-car crash in the southbound lanes on I-5 just south of Rose Street.

State troopers said Thursday that the drivers of a black Chevrolet SUV and a blue Dodge Neon were arrested for vehicular homicide and a warrant for blood was obtained for both people.

Several people were trapped in cars when aid arrived.

The state patrol said 23-year-old Andrea Dickey of Centralia, a passenger in the blue sedan, died at the scene.

One person was taken to the hospital in critical condition while two others were listed in serious condition. The two remaining people had minor injuries.

The crash caused a long backup on I-5 while troopers investigated and cleared the scene.
