A rolled over fuel tanker shut down a portion of eastbound I-90 Friday morning.

The crash occurred at milepost 80 near the top of Snoqualmie Pass around 1:30 a.m., according to Washington State Patrol Trooper Darren Wright. A fuel spill caused a delay in righting the truck.

Eastbound I-90 was blocked to traffic near North Bend. The roadway reopened to traffic at approximately 11 a.m.

At 6:20 a.m. Trooper Wright reported that a response team arrived to pump the fuel out of the tipped tanker, into another tank.

More than 3,000 gallons of diesel fuel spilled out, according to the Department of Ecology. The department is monitoring the Cle Elum River.
