People who live near Sea-Tac Airport could soon be hearing more noise.
The airport’s center runway is being closed down for repairs for the next month, and planes will use the third, outer runway, which is closer to some homes and neighborhoods.
Perry Cooper, with Sea-Tac Airport, said the noise could impact Burien, Seatac, Normandy Park, and Federal Way.
“What we try to do is give everyone a heads up when we’re going to have those kinds of shift patterns,” said Cooper.
Cooper said the busiest times of the day for air traffic will be mornings and evenings.
