Sea-Tac Airport’s renovated North terminal to begin reopening

Just in time for travelers to return to the skies, Sea-Tac International Airport will begin reopening its North Satellite terminal over the next month.

The remodel doubles the terminal’s size and adds eight more gates for a total of 20. Expect new restrooms that use rainwater collected from the roof to flush toilets, an updated train station, and new art installations.
A nursing suite for traveling mothers can be found on the upper mezzanine level, featuring three privacy rooms, a private restroom, sinks, changing tables, and seating.
The remodel also added two adult change tables in family restrooms on the concourse level.
A pet relief area serves travelers bringing along their furry friends. Located on the train level, the integrated pet restroom opens at the end of June.
The Marketplace will feature retail and restaurant additions that open this summer, including: Tundra Taqueria, SEA Roast Coffee House, Pike & Pine, and Filson. Artists will also perform on the new performance stage.
The remodel of the North Satellite terminal began in February 2017 with a 240-foot expansion to the west and eight new gates. Phase 2 includes remodeling 12 of the 20 gates and a “seismic hug.” Gates N9 and N10 opened ahead of schedule.
The cost of the entire project is estimated at $710 million.
