Three lanes of northbound I-5 through Seattle near James Street have now been reopened after a collision that saw two vehicles completely roll over.

Washington State Troopers have one person in custody, who they suspect was driving under the influence at the time of the incident. Seattle Fire reports four patients are in stable condition and have received treatment from firefighters.

WSP is investigating the crash as a “vehicular assault.” According to WSDOT, backups extend over three miles, with the two right lanes remaining closed.

This is a developing story — we will provide more information as it becomes available
