Seattle officer suspended for alleged gropings

A Seattle officer who is now suspended without pay allegedly assaulted two employees of the police department by groping them.

According to the police department, the alleged workplace assaults by John Knight were brought to light during an Equal Employment Opportunity investigation into his conduct.

Knight was assigned to the Training and Education Section.

The allegations were turned over to the Special Victims Crimes Section for criminal investigation. The case was referred to the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

The department is reviewing prior cases involving Knight, which date back to 2009.
