Seattle police arrest suspected ‘prolific’ thief in Wedgwood

Bikes. Mail. Computers. Credit cards. Power tools. Those are just a handful of stolen items Seattle police found piled inside a Wedgwood home Monday night after a SWAT team stormed the home.
Police arrested four people at the home in the 8200 block of 38th Avenue Northeast. One person arrested was wanted on warrants for burglary and stalking.
Investigators with Seattle’s major crimes task force discovered that the home was owned by a suspected “prolific auto thief and burglar.” Shortly before midnight Monday, a search warrant was served. Cops found 16 stolen bikes crammed into corners, hallways and crawl spaces throughout the house, along with other items, including shaved keys that car thieves commonly use to steal vehicles.
Two stolen cars and a motorcycle were also found nearby in a bank parking lot. Those vehicles are connected to the case, according to police.
