A Seattle police officer shot a man in a Squire Park apartment complex on Friday morning.
SPD reports that the man was firing a rifle in the apartment complex, with police responding to the scene just after 4:30 a.m.
After entering the building, an officer fired at the suspect and wounded him, before the suspect “entered an apartment unit and refused to come out.” He eventually surrendered to SPD and was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment while in custody.
Police did not find evidence of any other shooting victims.
Police said more details would be provided as they become available.
