Seattle’s Colman Dock evacuated for suspicious package

Seattle’s Colman Dock ferry terminal was evacuated Friday afternoon, and ferry traffic was halted for more than an hour amid the evening commute.
Washington State Ferries reports that authorities responded to a suspicious package and that the incident a “law enforcement issue.”
We are currently assisting @wastatepatrol and @wsferries at Colman Dock. There has been a report of a suspicious package and our detectives are headed there to make sure the terminal is safe. Please expect extra traffic in the area. Thanks in advance for your patience.

Ferry passengers left the terminal and had to wait out on the street as officials inspected the package and searched the area.
Seattle police blocked all lanes on Alaskan Way between Madison Street and Spring Street. Drivers were advised to take alternate routes.

All boats from Kitsap County were put on hold while Colman Dock was closed.
