Shooting at Mariner High School parking lot prompts brief lockdown

Snohomish County deputies are investigating a shooting at Mariner High School, which prompted a brief lockdown of all after-school activities on Monday afternoon.

The shooting occurred in the parking lot of the school, deputies said in a tweet at 3:35 p.m.

No injuries were reported.

Deputies said a juvenile fired shots at a vehicle and ran away.

Law enforcement searched for the shooter but he was not found.

Deputies believe the shooter knew the person being targeted.
