Two people are dead following a shooting and car crash in south Seattle early Saturday morning.

Emergency responders arrived after dispatchers received 911 calls around 2:40 a.m. reporting a crash on Martin Luther King Jr. Way S. at S. Graham St.

The fire department arrived at the scene before police.

Firefighters found the crashed vehicle, but then soon realized a man and a woman inside had both been shot.

They immediately called out for police officers.

Investigators say the vehicle had crashed over a curb.

Medics gave first aid to both injured people.

Shortly after, despite life-saving efforts, medics declared the woman deceased.

An ambulance transported the injured male to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.

But later, doctors at the hospital also pronounced him deceased.

Homicide Unit detectives arrived at the scene of the crash to try to figure out what led to the shooting.

Police have not made any arrests.

Detectives say they are not looking for any outstanding suspects, so it’s unclear whether anyone else was involved in the shooting.

The Seattle Police Department asks anyone with information about what happened to contact them through the SPD Violent Crimes Tip Line at (206) 233-5000.
