Skagit Valley welcomes visitors to Tulip Festival

For the first time since spring of 2019, the Tulip Festival is underway in Skagit County. However, visitors can expect new rules due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Both Tulip Town and RoozenGaarde are restricting the number of guests to their farms based on public health guidelines established by the state and county.
The Tulip Festival’s website does warn that tickets are nonrefundable, and visitors will have to pick a time and date to see the flowers.
While Tulip Town has limited the number of guests, it is open earlier and staying open later. There are also three different types of tickets visitors can purchase: General Admission (parking, entry, trolley ride, field, gardens, indoor display), the Experience Pass (GA + bouquet building workshop), and the Photography Pass (exclusive access to fields during golden hours).
Tulip Town boasts 5 acres of flowers, a windmill, retail boutique, nursery, a cafe, and a wine and beer garden.
Daily attendance will also be limited at RoozenGaarde this year. The farm is asking visitors to limit their stay to three hours so that other people can enjoy the beauty as well.
A $15 ticket at RoozenGaarde will get you access to the 5-acre garden, the 25-acre tulip field, the 20-acre daffodil field, the gift shop, and the fresh cut tulip market. Children under 2 years of age are free.
If you or anyone in your group is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, you’re asked to stay home. As in any public place statewide, face coverings are required at all Tulip Festival events.
Pets and drones are not allowed at the tulip fields.
If you just want a few pics for your Instagram, the Tulip Festival says it’s OK to get out and walk through the fields at areas where you see parking. Expect to pay for parking and to follow COVID related rules. Do not block driveways.
