SoDo water main break spills 1 million gallons

Seattle Public Utilities says a massive water main break in SoDo will take all day to clean up.

The water main break in Seattle’s SoDo neighborhood spilled over 1 million gallons of water.

The break happened around 1 a.m. at the intersection of 1st Ave S and S Massachusetts St., cutting service to about 20 businesses, according to Andy Ryan, spokesman for Seattle Public Utilities.

SPU says traffic to Tuesday night’s Mariners game will be affected. Now word yet on what caused the break.
