Sounders to host USMNT World Cup watch party at Seattle Armory

Calling all soccer fans! The Seattle Sounders FC announced they will be hosting a watch party for the U.S. Men’s National Team’s game against the Netherlands in the FIFA World Cup Round of 16 Saturday, Dec. 3.

The event will be held at the historic Armory at the Seattle Center and is open to the public for free, and is an all-ages, first come, first serve event.

“Fans are encouraged to arrive early given high-demand and to watch preceding match coverage,” according to the website for the event.

Food and drink will be available to purchase and the team said there will be games, a trivia contest, a beer garden for attendees 21 and older, and other attractions.

There will also be a drawing to enter to win a U.S. Men’s National Team jersey, Sounders FC Adidas Ultraboost x COPA shoes, and more.

The event starts at 6:30 a.m. Saturday.

In group play, the USMNT finished second in Group B behind England, posting a 1-0-2 record, with draws against Wales and England and a 1-0 victory over Iran.
