Starbucks partners with Seattle Kraken to support community, nonprofits

Starbucks and the Seattle Kraken, the city’s new ice hockey expansion team, announced a multi-year partnership Wednesday to “celebrate and strengthen the Seattle community.”

The two say they will work to build community and advance equity at the Kraken Community Iceplex, which will open in Northgate.
Inside the Iceplex, Starbucks will open its 21st community store. A percentage of store profits will support the Kraken and Climate Pledge Arena’s One Roof Foundation and local nonprofit organizations, with a focus on youth homelessness, environmental justice, and providing access and opportunities in youth ice hockey.

The community store and the Iceplex are set to open in September.
