Thousands lost power across western Washington after a late November snowfall, rain, and high winds swept across the area.

On Tuesday night, more than 80,000 people lost power due to the weather, with 35 to 40 mph gusts of wind.

Wintry weather causing power outages across the region

As crews work to restore power to affected areas, some have started to see power return to their houses, but more than 10,00 are still left in the dark Wednesday night.

As of 10:00 p.m. Wednesday, Puget Sound Energy has 2,916 customers without power in areas scattered across the Puget Sound region.

Snohomish PUD is reporting 6,826 customers without power in areas scattered across Snohomish County.

Seattle City Light is reporting 3,670 customers without power from south of Mountlake Terrace to Fremont.

Dozens of schools across the region were either closed or on a delayed start Wednesday, some due to power outages at school facilities.

There is currently a Wind Advisory and a High Wind Warning for the area, and the Seattle Department of Transportation is reporting several downed trees in the area.

Some roads have been closed due to weather conditions. The NWS  urged drivers to use caution and take their time during the morning commute as heavy snow accumulated on roads, especially in areas around King and Snohomish counties. A full list of road closures in King, Pierce, Lewis, Snohomish, and Thurston counties can be found online.

A map of the outages and the most up-to-date information can be found on each electricity provider’s website:
