Roads around one of Boeing’s buildings in Renton were closed down shortly after 11 a.m. Thursday for a little over an hour after a suspicious package was spotted.

One building at Boeing’s Renton campus was evacuated. Police say the evacuation was a precaution. ATF and Port of Seattle officials responded to the scene and inspected the package. By 12:07 p.m. the roads were reopened. Crews found the package, but it was empty.

Roads were shut down at 8th Street and Garden Avenue, 5th Street and Park Avenue, 5th Street and Garden Avenue — an area south of a popular shopping center, The Landing.

People were asked to avoid the area around Boeing. Traffic delays are expected.
