Tacoma police investigating two fatal shootings on Sunday

Two shootings in Tacoma occurred about 20 hours apart on Sunday and within just a few miles of one another.

One happened just after 2:00 a.m. at an apartment complex near Pacific Avenue and South 80th Street.

Tacoma police said several people called 911 to report hearing shots fired in the area.

When officers arrived, they found a 51-year-old man who was found unresponsive.

Officers immediately started lifesaving measures but he was later pronounced dead at the scene by Tacoma Fire Department medics.

The other shooting happened Sunday night at 10:10 p.m., South Sound 911 received multiple calls of someone shot in a vehicle.

Tacoma Police say the victim’s vehicle hit an unoccupied car parked in the 5200 block of South M. Street. Officers say a man was unresponsive in the driver’s seat, and a female passenger had also been shot.

Officers immediately started life-saving measures. Police say the 32-year-old man died on the scene. The 18-year-old woman was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

TPD says this is being investigated as a homicide.

King County Sheriff looks for missing girl

The King County Sheriff’s Office wants you to be on the lookout for a 5-year-old girl who was allegedly taken by her parent during a supervised visit. Deputies say her name is Sky Sanchez.

She was last seen with braided hair and was wearing a pink shirt, blue skirt, and pink shoes on East Madison Street near Washington Park.

Call 911 if you see her.

Kirkland Police looking for burglary suspect who fired at family when caught

Kirkland Police say just before 4:00 a.m. Sunday, a suspect entered a Kirkland residence through an unlocked rear sliding door in the 10600 block of NE 45th Street. There were two adults and two young children in the home.

Police claim the intruder rummaged through the house for items to steal.

According to Kirkland Police, the suspect went into an upstairs bedroom with a flashlight and approached the mother, who was still in bed. The woman yelled for her husband, who was sleeping in another room.

Police claim the man fired three shots as he was running away from the home. None of the rounds hit the parents or children.

Investigators say the suspect is between 5’6” and 6′ tall and may have driven off in a light-colored vehicle.

Seattle Police catch robbery suspects after short pursuit

Seattle Police say Sunday evening, a man was in his parked car at the Don Armeni boat launch when he was approached by several suspects, one of them was armed with a handgun.

The victim told police the suspects demanded his wallet and phone. He says the suspect fired a single shot, and the man was not injured.

He says the suspects sped away in a black sedan. Officers who arrived on the scene found the car. A short pursuit ended when the suspect’s car crashed.

All of the suspects were taken into custody.
