Power outage impacts over 10,000 customers in the Tacoma area

A power outage was affecting more than 10,000 customers in the Tacoma area, Tacoma Public Utilities reported Wednesday afternoon.
As of 3 p.m., there were 10,541 customers without power, as shown on the power outage map. However, by 5 p.m., crews had solved the issue.
“We have restored power to all Tacoma Power customers, but one who will remain out while we make final repairs,” Tacoma Public Utilities wrote on X. “Transmission service to Lakeview Light and Power has also been restored.”
