After being ousted from its spot on Seattle’s Mercer Street earlier this year, Teatro ZinZanni will set up shop at Marymoor Park near Redmond.

At least, it will set up shop for 6 months starting in October. It’s unknown what will happen to the iconic production after that.

Teatro ZinZanni will begin performances of its original production “Love, Chaos, and Dinner” on Oct. 19. It will run through April 2018.

According to a press release from the company, all the velvet ambiance from the former Queen Anne location will be at Marymoor Park. The park performances will be held in a climate-controlled, antique cabaret tent imported from Belgium and referred to as “the Moulin Rouge.” It will seat around 285 guests.

“We are thrilled to join forces with King County Parks as we make ourselves at home on the Eastside,” said Norm Langill, Teatro ZinZanni founder and artistic director. “… the Eastside has always represented a considerable part of our audience since we opened. I am delighted that this opportunity allows us to get a little closer to this wonderful community while remaining accessible to our Seattle fans. I can think of no better place to launch the next chapter of Teatro ZinZanni’s history.”

Teatro ZinZanni began its unique blend of dinner theater, cabaret, live music and more in 1998. It spent nine years at the Queen Anne location. But it was forced to move after a recent sale of the property to a developer. The future of the dinner theater has been unknown since it moved out of Queen Anne in January.

The company says the organization is still actively working to find a new permanent location.

“Stay tuned,” Langill said. “The best is yet to come for the most amazing and dedicated fans in the world.”
