Teen bullies viciously attack former classmate who transferred to avoid them

Sep 11, 2014, 5:28 PM | Updated: 5:32 pm

Seattle police have arrested two teen bullies and are seeking a third who viciously attacked a 13-year-old former classmate who transferred schools to get away from them.

The attack happened Wednesday afternoon as the victim stepped off a Metro bus near Martin Luther King Jr. Way S. and S. Webster St. in the Rainier Valley.

Officer Drew Fowler says the teen spotted the three suspects across the street and tried to get back on the bus to avoid them, but the driver reportedly refused to let him back on.

“Sadly the three boys approached and started punching him and kicking him and stomping on his head and beat him up pretty good and caused significant injuries,” Fowler says.

The attackers fled, but police quickly tracked down two of the three and arrested them. They were booked into the Youth Service Center on felony assault charges.

Police have the name of the third suspect and continue searching for him.

The victim had attended middle school with the suspects last year but transferred to get away from their frequent bullying, Fowler says.
