Kirkland Police Department (KPD) broke up a steroid distribution ring at the end of August and is now sharing details of the drug bust.

KPD, along with the U.S. Postal Inspector Service, started investigations into an illegal anabolic steroid drug operation, and on Aug. 25 they searched a Kirkland home in Kingsgate.

Through surveillance, investigators established a pattern with the suspect’s daily movements that uncovered additional criminal activity. KPD then intercepted packages containing anabolic steroids in multiple forms including pills, powder, and liquid, all set for delivery to more than 90 individuals across the country.

There they found large amounts of anabolic steroids, packaging, distribution lists, chemicals, and other accessories to produce and ship anabolic steroids throughout the U.S.

They seized cash, vehicles, and other high-value items from the illegal operation as well.

Woman arrested after shooting in Pioneer Square, one injured

A woman was arrested in suspicion of a shooting early Wednesday morning in Pioneer Square, as announced by Seattle Police.

Around 2:30 a.m. officers on patrol heard gunshots near 1st Avenue S and South Washington Street, and dispatchers started to receive calls that someone had been shot.

When officers arrived they found a 72-year-old man who had suffered a gunshot wound to his abdomen.

Witnesses said the suspect confronted the man as she walked past him on the sidewalk before shooting him.

The woman ran away but police found and arrested her nearby. Officers seized a gun from her bag.

Seattle Fire Department medics took the man to Harborview Medical Center where he is recovering in serious condition.

The woman was booked into the King County Jail for first-degree assault.

Four arrested in Sequim for attempting to steal a sawmill

Three men and one woman were arrested in Sequim for allegedly attempting to steal a sawmill worth an estimated $40,000 to $50,000, according to the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office.

At around 7:12 a.m. on Sept. 2, officers received a report of a man in a beige Ford pickup truck dragging a sawmill towards Sherburne Road, and the caller said they were confident it was stolen.

When deputies arrived, the sawmill was dropped in the middle of the road, and two men started running towards the pickup.

Deputies then started a high-speed chase eastbound down Atterberry Road but were unable to catch the truck.

About 20 minutes later, deputies responded to a report that the same truck crashed through a property, struck a boulder, and the suspects ran into the woods.

Suspects were later sighted again nearby, where they were arrested on charges of theft and booked into Clallam County Jail.

Man shoots at neighbor in Monroe

Around 11:30 a.m., deputies responded to an assault with a weapon in the 14000 block of Ingraham Road in Monroe.

The suspect, a 36-year-old man, followed his neighbor and fired several rounds at him, but the victim did not get injured.

As deputies were containing the area, the suspect fired multiple rounds in their direction. Deputies continued to negotiate with the suspect via phone and he eventually surrendered.

The 36-year-old Monroe man was taken into custody and transported to the Snohomish County Jail. He is expected to be booked for first-degree assault.

No deputies were injured and the incident remains an active investigation.
