Three victims robbed at gunpoint near University of Washington in Seattle

Sep 30, 2012, 11:45 AM | Updated: 2:09 pm

Three different armed robberies were reported within a half hour time frame near the University of Washington early Saturday.

Seattle police say that the robberies were committed by three suspects who robbed each victim at gunpoint.

“The majority of the people here – myself included – walk most places and for the next week it’ll kind of make you think twice before you do,” Vista Village apartment manager Grant Howell told KING-5 News.

The three robberies all occurred between 1:30 and 2 a.m., all between Northeast 56th Street and Northeast 50th Street; one robbery was committed on the 5200 block of 15th Avenue Northeast, one on the 5000 block of 22nd Avenue Northeast, and the third on the 5600 block of University Way.

Police say that all of the victims were pistol-whipped in the back of the head. Some of the victims were intoxicated and unable to provide many details about their robbery.

Victims described two of the suspects as black males in their 20s. The third suspect is a white male.

Authorities have not released any other details about the suspects, the victims, or what items may have been stolen. Police have not stated whether they believe the incidents are connected.
