Thunderstorms roll through Western Washington as rain drenches area

Thunderstorms moved through western Washington Saturday, bringing heavy rain, hail and reports of funnel clouds.
Storms started in Lewis County, then moved into Pierce County. There was rain on and off in Puget Sound during the morning.
Lightning struck near Steilacoom around 1 p.m.
Others reported power outages in the University Place area. Around 3,325 Puget Sound Energy customers were affected by outages at 2:40 p.m.
The National Weather Service in Seattle warned of moderate to heavy showers in north King and south Snohomish counties.
