Two more cases of coronavirus identified in King County

Latest: A second man in King County has died from coronavirus

Two men in the their 60s with underlying health conditions were hospitalized in King County with coronavirus, according to health officials in Washington state.

The two new King County cases:
• A male in his 60s, hospitalized at Valley Medical Center in Renton. The man has underlying health conditions, and is in critical but stable condition.

• A male in 60s, hospitalized at Virginia Mason Medical Center. The man has underlying health conditions, and his status is critical.

Four other cases in King County:
• A woman in her 50s, who had traveled to South Korea; recovering at home
• A woman in her 70s, who was a resident of LifeCare in Kirkland, hospitalized at EvergreenHealth
• A woman in her 40s, employed by LifeCare, who is hospitalized at Overlake Medical Center
• A man in his 50s, who was hospitalized and died at EvergreenHealth. His death marks the first U.S. death from the illness.

Family of Snohomish County teen assures public they’re following guidelines

Two cases in Snohomish County:

A teen at Jackson High School was identified as having coronavirus on Friday. Health officials say he has not traveled outside of the U.S. He is recovering at home.

Snohomish County man was treated for coronavirus and released from Providence Medical Center last month. Health officials announced his illness and quarantine on Jan. 21, marking the first appearance of the virus in the U.S.
