Deputies with the King County Sheriff’s Office and fire investigators responded to a break-in and fires at Cascade Middle School in White Center Thursday morning.

A burglary alarm inside the school was tripped shortly before 1 a.m., KIRO 7 reports.

When deputies arrived at the school, they found two broken windows in two classrooms and it appeared as if someone was still inside.

While searching the school, deputies found two small fires and called firefighters.

The intruders were not located. It doesn’t appear that anything has been taken from the school.

Authorities have not said how the school was broken into or how the fire was started.

Investigators are offering a $10,000 reward in connection with the arson.

The King County Sheriff’s Office tells KIRO 7 that a break-in and fire was reported at the school in the past couple weeks.
