Student found dead at Washington State University fraternity

A student was found dead in his fraternity room at Washington State University early Monday morning.
Emergency responders arrived on the scene around 1 a.m. and found a 21-year-old man unresponsive. CPR was administered, but the man was eventually pronounced dead at the scene. The exact cause of death remains unknown. Detectives have turned that portion of the investigation over to the coroner. Pullman police found no signs of violence, foul play or other causes of death.
“As far as we’re concerned it’s a coroner investigation,” said Commander Chris Tenant of the Pullman Police Department. “They will determine manner of death.”
“There’s no suicide note, or anything like that,” he added.
Tenant told the Moscow-Pullman Daily News, however, that it appears the man could have died from an overdose or, possibly, natural causes.
The man was found in his room at the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity sometime after midnight Monday morning.
“It was house members that checked in on him and found him unresponsive and called 911,” Tenant said.
