Three sheets of metal blew off of the Aurora Bridge as heavy winds struck the region Tuesday.

Work crews were installing the metal sheets, part of scaffolding, as part of a painting project on the bridge, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

The metal sheets were at least 8 feet long, Q13 reports. One sheet struck a woman on a bicycle on Westlake Avenue.

“It hit the right side of my body &#8212 my head and my upper torso…,” Letha Myers told Q13.

Myers then fell off her bike.

“I think I’m just really lucky,” she said.
