Woman found dead in home with 4 children inside

Oct 7, 2014, 11:36 AM | Updated: 4:31 pm

A 29-year-old woman has been found dead in a home in the Frederickson area of Pierce County, with her four children inside.

A neighbor called 911 Tuesday morning to report they were concerned something might have happened in the home, located in the 2400 block of 195th Street East. When a deputy responded, he spotted four children between the ages of one and seven looking out the window. When they refused to answer, he forced his way into the home, says Pierce County Sheriff’s Det. Ed Troyer.

Troyer says there have been past reports of domestic violence at the home and the woman had a restraining order against her husband.

Deputies have contacted the man and do not consider him a suspect.

The children were uninjured. Deputies are working with Child Protective Services to contact family members and find a safe place for them.
