Wrong way driver hits motorcycle deputy

Jun 13, 2013, 3:43 PM | Updated: 5:10 pm

A Snohomish County motorcycle deputy is in the hospital after he was hit by a car in Everett Thursday morning.

Police say a 33-year-old man driving a white Lexus hit the deputy as he pulled into a parking lot at 112th Street SW and Evergreen Way.

“It appears that that vehicle crossed the lanes of travel and struck the motorcycle unit,” said Officer Aaron Snell.

He said neither of the men have life-threatening injures.

The deputy is a 10-year veteran of the Sheriff’s Office.

The crash comes one week after the funeral for a state patrol motorcycle trooper who was killed directing traffic near Mount Vernon.
