You wasted almost four days of your life stuck in traffic last year.

According to analysis from GPS maker TomTom, the average half-hour commuter in Seattle lost an additional 89 hours due to congestion in 2014.

Check TomTom for the Seattle stats

It means that the average half-hour commuter spent an extra 23 minutes delayed behind the wheel every day. The stats are based on a typical year of 230 work days.

It’s not just bad within the city limits. TomTom included about 306 miles in the “total network length highways” with a congestion rate of 26 percent.

Seattle ranked fourth for the worst congestion in the country, following Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Honolulu. Seattle tied with New York City, according to the survey. It ranked 46th among 200 cities studied worldwide. The world’s worst traffic? Istanbul commuters spent an extra 125 hours stuck in traffic last year.

The evening commute is the most congested time of day on almost every road around the world, according to TomTom, which said it conducts the study to “reduce traffic congestion globally.”

And if there’s any day to stay home: July 31. The analysis said it was the worst day of the year for traffic congestion around Seattle.
