It’s the first new Dick’s drive-in in 37 years, and Edmonds will soon see that famous sign in the air – meaning they’re one step closer to a delicious greasy burger.

“One of the last things to get done is put our signs up,” said Jim Spady, Dick’s Vice President. He said that the exterior of the building is almost complete and with the sign in the air, after it’s installed on , everyone will see where the new restaurant is going to be.

The 25-foot sign goes in the air at 9 a.m. on Wednesday and they say it will take an hour to install. By that afternoon you’ll be able to see it among the Edmonds skyline.

Still on the agenda: Installing new equipment inside like the grills, friers, and stainless steel counters.

But according to Spady, opening day isn’t far away, “It will definitely be open before Thanksgiving and if things continue to go smoothly it could be open well before that.”
