Yeah you read that right, extreme ironing.

While people in England are more concerned with the upcoming Royal Wedding, a select few have conceived a new sport.

Invented in 1997, the sport of extreme ironing is where people take an ironing board to a remote location and iron different items of clothing. In fact some competitors have ironed on mountains, in rowboats, and even underwater.

According to the creator of extreme ironing – who also goes by his competitive name ‘Steam’ – the sport “combines an extreme outdoor activity with the satisfaction of a well-pressed shirt.”

If you don’t believe me, take a look at this video.

Could extreme ironing be the next Olympic sport? Only time will tell.
