2.9-magnitude earthquake occurs north of Olympia

A magnitude 2.9 earthquake struck north of Olympia early Wednesday morning, according to the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network (PNSN).

The earthquake happened at 3:49 a.m. Wednesday, with its epicenter approximately 16.2 miles north/northeast of Olympia and 21.9 miles south/southwest of Bremerton.

No injuries or damage have been reported.
