Days of steady rain have caused significant flooding along Washington rivers.

The Snoqualmie River surpassed Phase 3 — major flooding — around 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, indicating flooding of various depths across the Snoqualmie Valley and road closures, according to the King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks.

Tolt River reaches Phase 3

Also at Phase 3 is the Tolt River, which reached the flood stage around 7:45 a.m. Wednesday.

“Floodwaters could seep and cause backyard flooding along the south bank of the river between Snoqualmie Valley Trail Bridge and the State Route 203 Bridge,” King County officials stated.

Flood patrols are currently checking conditions along both rivers and will report any issues to the Flood Warning Center.

Across the county, the White River remains at Phase 2 — minor flooding — with slight impacts in and around the city of Pacific.
