One of the most cynical things I say about politics is that we’re in the middle of a cold civil war. And now Carl Bernstein is using my phrase!

And we really are in the middle of a cultural, cold civil war. Part of what created it is the 24-hour cable news cycle.

RELATED: The left’s critical theory is to tear down Western ideals

The hard left would have you believe that American culture is all bad, based on theft and force. Mainstream Democrats tend to think American culture is equal to other cultures; a country among many.

The right, as a whole, feels that people from other countries come to America for a reason. No one wants or tries to come to any other country more than they want to come to America. Why?

Many cultures have a despot ruling them. We don’t have that in the United States. Not everywhere is equal. There are reasons so many people want to live in America.

The meaning of our American and Western culture should constantly be impressed upon us and our children.

As always, please listen to the full audio clip for complete context.
